Who we are

At Lakeshore Montessori, we believe children are naturally curious, capable, and eager to learn. Our role is to create a nurturing environment where children are given the freedom to explore, make choices, develop independence, and discover the joy of learning at their own pace. As an AMI Montessori program, we are grounded in the principles and philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori, with a deep respect for each child as an individual.

Our preschool has been serving families in Vancouver and Portland area since 2012. We are proud to be a small, close-knit school where children are known, valued, and supported as individuals. We believe that the early years are about much more than preparing children academically—they are about helping them develop confidence, independence, concentration, kindness, and a lifelong love of learning.

We strive to provide a calm, purposeful, and welcoming environment where children can grow socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually. Most importantly, we believe that children deserve to be respected, encouraged, and trusted as capable members of their community. Our goal is to partner with families in giving each child a strong foundation for the years ahead.
